Canvassing 1,400 business views in one swoop is a hard job, but the Wellington Chamber of Commerce uses Go Fetch to do just that.
Chamber of Commerce chief executive Charles Finny says the value of their members knowledge is immense and knowing their perspectives on key issues is essential.

With a database of more than 4500 businessmen and women in Wellington, the Chamber of Commerce keeps its market knowledge current with the online data gathering tool from The Survey Company, and tailors specific surveys regularly.
"We use The Survey Company regularly for quarterly confidence surveys and surveys on specific issues," Finny says.
"The end product for us is invaluable. With it we get near instant feedback on the key issues of the day. Feedback from members is also positive with members finding the product easy to use."
Switching from a US-based survey tool in 2005 to The Survey Company, the Chamber of Commerce also helps regional business chambers to do their membership research.
Chamber of Commerce IT manager Jeff Dahlberg says The Survey Company surveys are used to research business opinion and views for nine smaller chambers from Hawkes Bay to Otago.
The flexibility of Go Fetch to tailor surveys to attain specific information around topical issues and general business feeling makes it a major improvement on previous survey software used.
"It has got a lot more functionality. The old software did not have the ability to change the style sheet or to ask certain types of matrix questions," Dahlberg says.
The ability to have a survey self-adjust depending on how respondents answered certain questions makes it simpler and more relevant to both respondents and the Chamber of Commerce.
The ability to get results automatically graphed or in raw data format is useful with a number of chambers with different preferences, Dahlberg says. "The Go Fetch format is very straight forward."
